General Mills, the makers of Wheaties cereal, "The Breakfast of Champions", honored Mitchell this week by placing his picture on the cover of their famous cereal box.

A company spokesman commented that Mitchell was being honored partly for his "huge contribution to sports journalism", and partly because he won the Warren County Fair Baby Contest.

When asked for comment, Mitchell replied, "I'm grateful and humbled for this honor. It was quite nice of them to do this...especially since I'm more of a Cheerios kind of guy."
