	Charlene Benson (now Mayer) joined the band by playing one note. A classically-trained pianist, she soon became known as the "bright, shiny, perky" member of the band, engaging the crowd with her enthusiasm and humor. She also covered multiple keyboard parts, played the drums, and even mastered the harmonica.
